Introduction:
PRALARG INTERNATIONAL, short for Prisons Rehabilitation and Law Abiding Organization International, is a 501(c)(3) charity organization with operations in America and Nigeria. Our mission is to reduce crime by rehabilitating inmates and promoting good moral values in society. Since 2014, we have been working towards the reentry process of ex-inmates by providing education and support. We are proud to be affiliated with esteemed organizations such as the World Association of Non-governmental Organizations, Global Legal Empowerment Network, and the Justice Reform Team of Ogun State Judiciary.
Pralarg International recently, visited the Nigerian Correctional Institution in Abeokuta, OGUN state, to provide assistance to female inmates.
Purpose:
The purpose of the visit was to provide personal items and underwear to the female inmates and to assess their needs for further assistance. Pralarg International is committed to providing help to inmates and promoting rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
Activities:
The visiting team from Pralarg International was welcomed by the Incharge of the Correctional Facility. They met with 85 female inmates and provided them with underwear and personal items. The inmates were happy to receive the assistance and appreciated the efforts of the organization.
During the visit, the team found out that there were four pregnant women in the facility. Unfortunately, none of them had received any antenatal care. The inmates also requested for paper towels, soap, anti-malaria medications, and pads among other things.
In addition to providing the requested items, Pralarg International promised to look into their cases for legal assistance. One of the inmates was suffering from psychological and mental problems, although she had not exhibited any violent behavior. The organization promised to approach the court to provide assistance in this regard.

Pralarg International is committed to the rehabilitation of prisoners and reducing the stigma associated with incarceration. The organization plans to continue visiting prisons to provide rehabilitation and aftercare services to reduce the back-to-crime syndrome and promote law-abiding behavior.
